  7.         To reduce the size of indices generated by INDEX.

  9. COMMENTS
  10.         The performance of LOCATE is enhanced when common
  11.         words are not indexed.  First, the index is smaller
  12.         which requires less time to search.  Second,
  13.         indexing common words will generate retrieval codes
  14.         matching more significant words causing an increase
  15.         in false drops.
  16.  
  17.         Additions and deletions to WORDS.INX may be made
  18.         with EDLIN and other word processors and editors.
  19.         Sorting the file will decrease load times.
